We are pleased to welcome Aisling Lennon to the club Executive Committee as our new Children’s Officer. On behalf of the club and the Executive Committee, we would like to sincerely thank Audrey Warren who capably held the Children’s Officer role for almost 3 years. Thank you for your time, professionalism and commitment to the club.
As a senior clinical psychologist at the National Rehabilitation Hospital, Aisling has the relevant skills to support the club and its members in her Children’s Officer role.
In her day job, Aisling works on the spinal cord system of care, proving psychological support to individuals with spinal cord injury and their families. Aisling and her family are active members of FoxCab. Aisling plays with our Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others team and has 2 daughters in the club, playing with the under-10s and the under-8s. The Children’s Officer shall assist in promoting a child and youth-centered ethos in the Club.
The key role of the Children’s Officer is to ensure the implementation of the Child Safeguarding guidelines and the promotion of good practice in the Club, to ensure our young people can participate, enjoy and benefit from playing Gaelic Games in a safe and fun environment.
